The location here is amazing and just right, with the nearest shop being 8 miles away; the staff are friendly and polite.

Well-maintained and good quality hotel managed by friendly efficient people. We have booked double room for 1 night, everything was really good, it had a patio, a safe, and a kettle. We appreciated the location that was central and next to Ambleside and the South Lakes, where tourists by the ton arrive and conservatory area in the evening before heading out for dinner.

The views were not so great.

The breakfast itself is delicious and fantastic with an omelette and toast, as example. No complains at all, we would stay there again.

This venue is well-kept and has welcoming staff at the front desk; the meals are exceptional and the restaurant's location is convenient for guests.

The room was a good size and well organized. However, the bed was uncomfortable and the cleaning was not done well. What we really liked was having blackout curtains, a kettle, and an iron handy! 😊
